What GOODmeme Does

GOODmeme is a real-time meme ranking platform where users submit, vote on, and browse memes. Think of it as a community-driven leaderboard for the best content on the internet.

Our Mission

GOODmeme exists to promote expression, freedom of speech, and the open exchange of ideas through the universal language of memes. Our platform is built to foster joy, laughter, pride, humor, and intellectual curiosity — connecting people through shared moments of culture, commentary, and creativity. User Content & Intellectual Property

Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to content you submit to GOODmeme. We do not claim ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant JPEG LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform your content in connection with operating and promoting the platform. This license exists only for the purpose of operating, developing, and improving GOODmeme.

Platform Role

GOODmeme is a platform for user-submitted content. We act as a host and distributor, not a publisher. We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or originality of content posted by users. Users are solely responsible for the content they submit, including ensuring they have the right to share it. JPEG LLC is not liable for any intellectual property disputes, copyright claims, or legal issues arising from user-submitted content.

Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on GOODmeme infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request to team@readJPEG.com with a description of the copyrighted work, the URL of the infringing content, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will review and respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.

Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to content that violates our policies, is reported by other users, or is subject to a valid legal complaint. Removal of content does not constitute an admission of liability.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from the authentication provider. If you create an account with an email address and password, we receive your email address, and your password is handled entirely by our authentication service (Firebase Authentication). In all cases we use secure, industry-standard authentication services to manage sign-in — we never see or store your password.

Content You Submit

When you upload memes or submit links, we store the media (images, videos, GIFs) and any associated metadata such as titles, descriptions, source URLs, and tags. Submitted content is public by default.

Usage Data

We collect basic analytics to improve the product, including page views, interactions, and general usage patterns. We may use third-party analytics services to collect aggregate, anonymized traffic data.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system, and browser type for compatibility and debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Submitted content (memes, votes, reactions) remains on the platform unless you request removal. You can delete your account directly in the app settings, or by emailing team@readJPEG.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and data
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

Limitation of Liability

GOODmeme is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. JPEG LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to damages related to user-submitted content, loss of data, or service interruptions. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of GOODmeme shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, if any.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JPEG LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your submitted content, or your violation of this policy or any applicable law.

Children's Privacy

GOODmeme is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure authentication protocols to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or via email. Continued use of GOODmeme after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
